Why do I always start ambitious projects.
Dear readers,
I apologize for my lack of posts recently, I was in the middle of midterm exams. Finally I am through with them. I still have one to present tomorrow and one that I can actually share.
It was a project for my intro to mass communication class. I had to pay attention for 48 hours of how much I use technology and the web then shut it all off for another 48 hours. We could blog about those 4 days or make a video, make a magazine, collages, etc. The possibilities are vast. But of course I chose something pretty challenging. I taught myself the basics of the program imovie and made a short animated video. The result isn't as good as I was imagining it to be. Oh well, it was quite perplex but fun to make. Enjoy!

I love apps for Iphone and Itouch.
BRRRR. Just downloaded a thermometer application for my Itouch and it indicated 43°F in my room. It's fall and almost winter, I don't think my roommate knows the difference and she left the window open all night. Great start of the day!

Acadia National Park!
Those pictures were taken probably end of August when I went to my boyfriend's camp up in Bangor. We went hiking in Acadia National Park. He finally posted the pictures his aunt took. Great memories of a beautiful day!
Before the hike. On the beach.
At mid-height.
At the top. We look like champs.
The Cat Ate My Tongue.
Clueless about one specific midterm and done with homework at 11:30 p.m. I found myself in need to write about my fellow college teachers.
The best thing about my Wednesday mornings is that I start with a very entertaining class. Actually not just the class but the teacher. She is not only very opinionated or full of informations about what is going on around the world or extremely genuine; she is one of the most energetic people I have ever met, absolutely all over the place. No wonder she teaches Media Communication.
I don't have much to say when it comes to my Art History teacher. She kind of looks like a friend I know and it's scary. My Digital Imaging teacher has studied in France. Her style of clothing is very similar to my 7th grade art teacher who used to wear only red and black because it made her look tough. Thankfully she is nothing like her. The last college teacher in the field of art is my Printmaking instructor. She is an amazing artists and very inspiring. My assumption is that she is a survivor of breast cancer. I am not sure but I know she has had a fatal moment in her life which makes her look even more admirable.
Certainly I have left out the Math teacher. Just because it is math and as long as I have a B in that class, I am utterly satisfied.
College work is actually easier than everyone made it sound like. It's about individual work and motivation. As long as the work is turned in and polished, the teacher has no reason not to take your efforts in consideration. They are not dupe I suppose. Here's a brief exemple: I received an A on a five page long paper that I worked on for a week and a B on a paper I worked on the night before. But at least I am not one of those who black out from drinking too much and slacking because of the time wasted recovering from endless hangovers. Conclusion, in that field I'm feeling like a salmon in river falls.

WANT.
Bubble Umbrella by Target
Transparent Raincoat (Sold Out)
Transparent Rainboots (Can't find them anywhere)
I am tremendously tempted.
Two of my friends are students at Boston University. I really want to go up on a boring week-end and spend some quality time with them. Boston is an amazing city. I wish I could go to college there!

Once upon a time in Antarctica. I mean Maine.
Look at what our adorable RA's, Resident Assistant, tapped on every dorm doors. I saw Candy Corn on sale and 2 extra long aisle of candies at Hannaford Supermarket. We all know Halloween is coming up and I cannot wait!
P.S: "Amanda" is my roommate's name.
Warning: The following contains amateur videos of white girls trying to perform two professional and contemporary dances, "The Bernie" and "The Dougie". Please do not try this under any circumstances if scared of being taking for a total imbecile.
It all started when my friend Stacy was challenged by one of her friend back home to a street dance competition. The theme of the competition was "The Dougie". She needed to practice it in order to win but did not want to make a fool of herself dancing all alone. So for the hell of it I joined in. And those videos are the evidence of our performances.
Moves like Bernie, the real dance:

How to Dougie, the real thing:

Well, I'm guessing we have a long way to go.

College students do work!
This morning I received a encouraging email about my blog. Except one important question they had was: "You talk about what you do with your friends, but is there time to squeeze in homework?". The answer is unfortunately yes and not just some work. but a S*?! load, excuse my language I meant a huge load of it.
Today won't be as exciting as the other days. Because it is Sunday and everyone's going to be doing the work they put off since Friday night. Here's an example of what a math lab looks like online. Each section has more than 20 questions and have a introduction of at least 10 questions. I have to do 3 sections and intro today. And this is only for math. Let's not talk about the rest.
P.s: The fish went crazy when I woke up. It's going to be a healthy fellow! Still don't have a name. But I want it to be a male.
